We are incredibly proud of our Transitional & Independent Living Lead Case Specialist, Lashenuda Carr, who delivered written testimony on Tuesday, November 18, to a House Ways and Means subcommittee on behalf of Youth Villages, by way of Lawrence Hall, on our work with young people. Thanks to Ms. Carr, Congress got to hear firsthand about the hard work that goes into serving young adults in DCFS care. Her powerful testimony was moving, including her quote, “I emphasize one thing above all: consistency,” she said. “Showing up. Every week. Every time.” Thank you, Ms. Carr!
