Volunteers Come Together to Fill 400+ Backpacks for Lawrence Hall Youth

August 28, 2019
Lawrence Hall youth will be going back to school with the supplies they need to thrive thanks to volunteers and supporters

The network of supporters came together to ensure that the young people enrolled in Lawrence Hall’s programs, preschool through college aged are able to start off the academic year with a fresh bag filled with the supplies they need to succeed. This year’s Back to School Drive ran from July 1st through August 16th culminating in a volunteer backpack stuffing event on August 21st at Lawrence Hall’s Main Campus. Volunteers from Stratosphere Networks enlisted in the packing party efforts for the third year in a row and were joined by teams from Nera Economic Consulting, the Lawrence Hall Auxiliary Board, Resurrection Lutheran Church and community volunteers.

“It moves me each year to see how many folks want to lift up and support our kids. We’re so grateful to have such an incredible support network,” Laryssa Sykes, Development Coordinator at Lawrence Hall commented.
